The U.S.–China Policy Foundation is delighted to welcome Ambassador J. Stapleton Roy to the foundation as a new executive board member.

Ambassador Roy’s Foreign Service career has been impressive.  After beginning as a junior officer, he went on to serve in numerous posts in Asia and Russia and in several senior positions, such as Executive Secretary of the Department and Special Assistant to the Secretary of State and Assistant Secretary of State for Intelligence and Research.  He has also held important ambassadorships in Singapore (1984–86), China (1991–95), and Indonesia (1996–99).  Currently, he is a Managing Director at Kissinger Associates.

The Foundation appreciates Ambassador Roy’s participation as a luncheon speaker at this year’s USCPF National Press Club event and looks forward to his future involvement with the foundation.
