September 25, Washington, D.C., The National Press Club "U.S.-China Relations: the View from Congress" was the topic of USCPF's monthly roundtable lecture. Presentations made by Peter Brookes of the Republican staff of the House International Relations Committee, Frank Jannuzi of the Democratic staff of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and Robert Sutter of the Congressional Research Service were followed by a question and answer period that raised difficult questions as to each party's policies and approaches to China and their implications. |
